Video Rating: 4 / 5

I went urban exploring in Belgium to shoot the trailer for my novel, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. It was an adventure, to say the least. The finished trailer is here: www.youtube.com You can order the book, which comes out June 7, here, in either electronic or dead-tree format: tiny.cc UK Kindle edition: tiny.cc Sample chapters are here: quirkbooks.com To see more of Martino’s awesome photos, check out his flickr page: www.flickr.com

I find it amusing how any referance to God which is a generic term that does not denote any religions magical sky daddy is automaticly assumed by Christians to be refering to THEIR God.

The fact that peace & love & joy are three elements that are completely different from the Believe as I demand or else, & the I am a Jealous God, I am a God of Wrath.
The brutal nature of the Christians God is ignored and the Hippy type is stressed.
    It is really rather strange.
Hence why I am an Atheist

Maybe he is super religious for a reason, but I believe he has a strong relationship with GOD, or if you do not believe in the GOD, lets call this person simply the founder of everything.
I have felt very spiritual at times, and my experience was incredible. I tell you, even when you are down–the joy of the spirit can make you feeled with a feeling I cannot describe.

you are so right we affirm the wrong thing and I know so many people (my family) included who have the houses and cars and still wake up so unhappy. I found that the more I gave up, the happier I become — I know work in a building in a beautiful natural setting, doing work I enjoy….and I say this in the corner of my mind before it came to pass…..I hope to stay there for a LONG time or until the next beautiful experience comes along.

you have 60,000 thoughts a daY… if are exact about what you want how you use those thoughts and others drastically differs from a person who
is foggy and wanders and don’t know what they want… hope that helps…

you will attrack what you are, or, if you would like to change, you will attract what you have become. visualizing does not attract anything, but it helps you become who you want to be. same with affirmations. people are in a state of confusion. the law of attraction can be better understood if you think of it as the law of reflection. what you experience in life is a reflection of who you have become. visualizing makes that…so you will forever get “visions”. the same with affirming.

manifesting is amatter of being. you attract (or reflect, or experience) what you are, and by law, everything around does too. those who sit there affirming the house, and cars, etc. are missing the entire point. consciousness becomes your experience in the subjective world, and your things in the objective world, and the very experience you experience. things are not attracted because of your thoughts or affirmations. but as a result of what you have become, and becoming takes time.

It will work with visualation only, IF you are powerful enough.

    January 10th, 2012 at 22:00 | #15

Only visualization is not enough guys….you must putt fellings into visualization. Just feel that what you want to manifest as if it realy happened. Without feelings it wount work!

by not focusing on what you dont want
because when u think i dont want that u are focusing on it and creating it in your life ..

You are not getting what you want because you are affirming that is is difficult to accomplish things,I know itcould be difficult but you need to think of what you want and concentrate on the end result, dont dwell on how it is going to manifest, just wee the end result in your imagination. Read The master Key System By Charles Haanel, (this is the book they used to get the ideas for The Secret. Good Luck = )

GoRetro, I can’t see how ‘visualization’
would work if you don’t believe, it will work.

    Do you meditate?

How do YOU manifest? Tell me exactly,
I’m interested and have been working
    with ‘manifestating’.

I’m familar with Louise Hay and have checked out Wayne’s website.

    Thank you for your answer!!!!

You have to start thinking and feeling to yourself that it’s easy to attract people, money, a good job, etc. whatever it is that you want in your life, even if it’s currently not true. It takes some time and patience, but it will become true because that is the law of attraction.

    January 11th, 2012 at 01:43 | #22

Start thinking and saying to yourself that it’s easy to attract what you want…even if it isn’t true yet, it will become true because that is the law of attraction. It does work, but takes a little time and patience. I recommend reading The Secret and checking out Louise Hay’s website for positive affirmations to attract nice things into your life. And check out Wayne Dyer’s site for his own positive affirmations.

Wow, that’ s amazing ,but i still wonder how to get what i want ,if i feel that every thing is difficult to accomplish and need time and great efforts or may be sometimes money ,or even i some times I ask my self ,why there are some people are getting what they want and the others not,i’m syill confused ,and didn’t know what i want.
By the way the backgrounds & the music are fantastic ,it makes me feel with comfort.
where is the part 2 of this video??thx.

@TheCodeQueen And had they been out in the open in ANY big city, they may too be destroyed. You can find all sorts of abandoned buildings in America. There are abandoned factories, condemned houses, unused bomb shelters, and even some empty hospitals. You have to look for something before you can assert that it isn’t there.

    This is so beautiful.
I appreciate this video so much.
I’ve watched it a couple of times & I’ve put your book on reserve here in Manila since it seems to be sold out in many places.
I’ll be getting it in two days.
The houses and your adventure must have been magnificent – I only hope to be able to see homes just like them someday.
    Absolutely Beautiful.
I can’t wait to read your novel.

Thank you for your amazing work! I lived 20 years in Luxembourg and, although I visited a great number of old crumbling houses, I’d never seen any as abandoned as those you ventured into. As I’ve now relocated to Switzerland, I find here a surprising wealth of old abandoned houses on sale… it’s incredible and strangely beautiful. Thank you for your beautiful videos, they are a breath of fresh air!

The abandoned cottages, mansions and factories in Belgium are truly an amazing site for photographers and film-makers seeking a rustic, gloomy and mysterious mood.
