Luv this turkey! Thanks for all of your shortcuts, makes quilting much more enjoyable!
I really like this…gonna do it this week. I’m not an advanced quilter, I but thought of another idea of sewing down the blades, which would be to sew in a circle from one side to the other on all 3 layers, forming prairie points to look like dimensional feathers…what do u think? any reason it wouldn’t work that I didn’t think of?
Ok so my first Dresden turkey didn’t turn out too well but, I bought transparent thread, new feet for the sewing machine, and more material. I think he’s gonna turn out fine the second time around. I love this turkey, he is totally AWESOME!!!! Thanks
What a cute idea, I love your videos… keep em coming!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!
This is BEAUTIFUL! How about making a video on how to make a 3d cube quilt? Keep up the good work, love your videos.
@1missy1911 We did…it was a layer cake called Awesome. But is will work with any fall fabric.
do you sell the fabric that you used to make Turkey panel
?
do you sell the fabric that you used to make Turkey?
I see alot of waste in fabric, If your going to layer the dresden blades the 10′s can be cut back to 2′s and the next row to 3;s , then the 1st row closest to the body 4;s it will amek it easier to quilt through. He is a cutey …
Like it.
Love the Turkey. He’s huge so he needs a big name. One of the girls calls him Buba. But since he has a tie on I think he needs a more traditional name like George! LOL
Very cute…you are so creative! Love ALL your videos!
Oh…look at the number of views already. NO wonder, he’s as cute as can be!
A great tutorial!
I have a stamp of a turkey with a knife and fork and was thinking that would be cute instead of the tie for my Californian vegan friends. Maybe I’ll appliqué that on.
Is there any demonstration on stitching down the Dresdens on the Turkey pattern?
Jenny I LOVE the BIG Turkey Dresden! What a great idea for the different size layered blades. I may try that one out myself for a fun wall hanging. It was great seeing you and the family at the shop last weekend! (it’s me….SewBee!)

I think this would be really cute if you made the feathers with old ties!
