Issue by lsquare2008: How do I defend my Personal computer from people using info from my Usb port?
Can I safeguard my Laptop by asking for a password when somebody would like to copy things off my pc using the usb ports? How do I set that up?

You can do that in most GNU/Linux distributions, simply disable user level mount of USB devices, in Ubuntu you can take away the user’s ability to automatically mount external devices by editing the user’s properties.

If you are using Windows i can’t help you.
