I have an assignment due Thursday and the instructor asked us to upload it as a single zip file. After finishing the write-up on the paper, i will scan it and obtain a pdf file. But then i don’t know how to convert it to a zip file. Is there a free software on the Internet? Thanks!

zip is a format for a compressed file , so you to upload your pdf as a zip you need to compress it , and this can be done easily by :
1-download and install winrar from here http://www.rarlab.com/ (if you have it so skip this step)
2-right click on the pdf file
3-select add to archive
4-under the archive format select zip
5-click ok
then you will get the zip file in the same directory as the pdf one

technically you cant convert pdf to zip.All you need to do is put the pdf file in a zip program like http://www.winzip.com/win/en/index.htm or winrar and uplload it on the internet
