Worker Productivity Increased as Businesses Allow Use of E-cigarettes

Worker Productivity Increased as Businesses Allow Use of E-cigarettes

Electronic cigarettes are flameless, smokeless an virtually odorless.

Northbrook, IL (PRWEB) July 26, 2011

A recent consumer survey conducted by Vapor4Life, an electronic cigarette company, found workplaces that allowed employees to use an electronic cigarette saw an increase in employee productivity and improved customer service markers across a variety of industries.

The poll sampled “vapers,” or e-cigarette users, and asked participants about the difference in work productivity when the use of e-cigarettes was permitted in the office. By simply allowing its staff to use an e-cigarette at their desks, smokers who used an e-cigarette as a smoking alternative reported being more calm and focused, while also spending more time on the job due to decreased smoking breaks.

According to Vapor4Life CEO, Steve Milin, “vaping” has become a change in lifestyle for many smokers. “People face restrictions and limitations when they smoke cigarettes. It dictates where they eat, who they socialize with, and of course impacts their job. Vaping doesn’t share any of the attributes that restrict smoking. There’s no flame, none of that nasty smell that gets into your hair and clothes, and no second hand smoke.”

With the notable differences between regular cigarettes and e-cigarettes, Milin foresees “vaping” becoming the norm in workplaces. “Businesses who welcome vaping in the office have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Employees have one less distraction from their work, there’s fewer butts to sweep up and fewer accidental fire alarms from someone choosing to smoke in the restroom.”

About Vapor4Life

Vapor4Life is a leading e-cigarette company based out of Northbrook, IL that develops and distributes personal vaporizer e-cigarettes and accessories. The company was founded in April 2009 and is still family owned and operated. Electronic cigarettes are an alternative to smoking. They simulate the act and sensation of smoking with vaporized liquid, which may be flavored and may contain nicotine.

Two-Time NBA MVP Steve Nash and vitaminwater to Host “Nash Bash” at 2009 NBA All-Star Weekend

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 20, 2009

With NBA All-Star Weekend fast approaching, Steve Nash has announced the sale of tickets to his Foundation’s Friday night event – the vitaminwater® Nash Bash to benefit the Steve Nash Foundation.

“All-Star’s in Phoenix this year, and I’m really looking forward to hosting some of my Foundation’s best supporters, new friends and just having my family around. All-Star Weekend is one of the most entertaining events of the year, and, for me, it’s another opportunity to mesh my job with my other passions.”

The vitaminwater Nash Bash will take place Friday, February 13, 2009, at the Mondrian Scottsdale. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Steve Nash Foundation’s local initiative, Educare Arizona, bringing best practices in early childhood education to the Greater Phoenix area. Nationally, Educare is the creation of the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, and is supported throughout the country by anchor funders from Bill Gates to Warren Buffett. In Arizona, the Steve Nash Foundation is working closely with the Ibis Foundation, the John Whiteman Foundation, Southwest Human Development and the Governor’s Office for Children, Youth and Families.

“Educare is one of the best things we can do for our community,” said Steve. “It’s a holistic approach to the child and family, and will make an incredible impact nationally.”

Educare Arizona is set to break ground next year.

Last year, Nash worked with his film company, Meathawk, to create his own commercials for vitaminwater. The viral spots debuted on YouTube and were widely distributed, with even NBATV’s Ahmad Rashad, Chris Webber and Gary Payton taking time to enjoy the spots on air.

Tickets to the vitaminwater Nash Bash are available at the Foundation’s website, stevenash.org, via the All-Star Weekend banner. Individual tickets are $ 1,300; tickets to an exclusive dinner with Nash prior to the party are available for a $ 13,000 donation to the Steve Nash Foundation. Contributions are eligible for a tax receipt. The Steve Nash Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and registered Canadian charity.

TEDS Announces New Talent Acquisition and Staffing Capabilities

TEDS Announces New Talent Acquisition and Staffing Capabilities

(PRWEB) August 16, 2011

TEDS, Inc, a visionary company with over two decades of experience in maximizing employee and organizational performance, has announced a host of new and robust capabilities for organizations seeking to streamline their workforce, increase efficiencies and maximize profits. Some of these capabilities are powerful revisions and updates to existing functionalities in TEDS’ talent acquisition and staffing module, Job Vision; while others are totally new and are being introduced for the first time.

“In economic downturns, productivity becomes even more critical to profitability – and sometimes, even survivability,” said Joe Ellis, TEDS’ President and C.E.O. “Job Vision helps companies realize significant cost savings by ensuring employees are right for the job, that promotions are based on accurate data, and that new employees can quickly and efficiently perform the jobs for which they are hired.”

TEDS has made the entire hiring process workflow faster and easier with new rapid background checks, on-demand notifications, innovative hiring checklists, and action lists that highlight the most critical and time-sensitive actions. These and many other new features enable organizations to more fully standardize and simplify their hiring processes while enhancing TEDS’ invaluable HR compliance audit trail.

Powerful new dashboards leverage real-time data that allow Hiring Managers, Human Resource Generalists, and Managers to track every detail of the hiring process from the initial requisition through on-boarding. This capability ensures appropriate and timely actions at every decision point along the way. Throughput is accelerated, mistakes are virtually eliminated and cost savings are immediately realized because fewer people are required to manage the fully electronic process.

“TEDS’ integrated information provides a unique, strategic advantage to technical and compliance programs and makes administrative tasks dramatically easier and faster,” said Steve Harris, TEDS’ VP of Consulting Services. “For example, TEDS’ recent customer, Mountain States Health Alliance, is processing over 5,000 applications against approximately 300 job postings per month, on average, using the TEDS Job Vision applicant tracking module. This is being accomplished with only five recruiters.”

TEDS gives companies the ability to map the percent fit of a candidate to the job based on their resume. The resume information is taken to a more granular level so companies can now see a candidate is an 80% fit or a 30% fit for the position. Being able to get the right employees in the right position in the quickest amount of time helps companies operate with the highest level of efficiencies.

TEDS will soon announce another entirely new functionality for improving the effectiveness of teams within an organization. This advanced capability has already been implemented and proven highly effective by a major U.S. manufacturer. A detailed announcement is expected within the next few weeks.
